Lin, a senior scientist in the WHOI Department of Geology and Geophysics, is among 486 AAAS fellows elected this year by their peers.
These events tempt even those who have never had a drop of alcohol in their lives to give it a try, so the AAAS has urged parents to talk to their children about drinking, and cited the five reasons why alcohol can ruin prom night or graduation.
The awards will be bestowed on Correll and Moses at the 2009 AAAS meeting, February 14 in Chicago.
