Heavy industries are battling to avoid paying for permits, saying the added cost will harm their ability to compete with overseas rivals such as those in India, North Africa or Russia.
Despite this, for most small firms, the added cost and inconvenience caused by this strike could prove a near-fatal blow in such testing economic conditions and, for that reason alone, government intervention is surely necessary to ensure that damage is limited.
It's just another one of those financial things that you figure you don't really want the added cost to your monthly budget.
