News media coined the term air rage in the 1990s; although opinions vary as to its causes and what it encompasses, popular culture uses the term often in describing various incidents that occur during air travel.
Although the media has recently focused on sports rage, there have also been reported instances of road rage, air rage, and even grocery store rage, among others.
Travelers these days are all too familiar with air rage.
