Managing Director PIA, Ejaz Haroon apprised the committee that PIA entered into an agreement with M/s Airbus Industries on August 8, 1989 for purchase of three aircraft which were offered by the seller on March 8, 1988 and accepted by PIAC on February 22, 1989.
IN our report on Wednesday last concerning an accident during the testing of an aircraft at Airbus Industries in 2007 reference was made to redundancy payments to SR Technics workers.
The six defendants in the criminal case -- a former air traffic controller, four former managers from the civil aviation authority (DGAC), Air Inter and Airbus Industries, and a former Air Inter deputy director general -- were cleared after pleading not guilty to manslaughter.
