Whilst based in France, Fouad's further musical experience and achievements include studying Film Scoring at the prestigious The Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Alfred Cortot, where he has composed, arranged and performed his heartily felt pieces with a disarming authenticity.
Debussy's way of playing the piece, apart from being musically logical, was also known to some of his acquaintances, including Alfred Cortot who recorded the piece on disc with the same tempo changes.
Pianists who played at the Rudolfinum also included the Russians Vladimir Pachman, Sapelnikov and Siloti, the Pole Ignacy Paderewski, distinguished performer of Chopin and first prime minister of Poland after the re-establishment of the state in 1918, the German composer and piano virtuoso Eugen d'Albert and from France Camille Saint-Sauns, his compatriot Alfred Cortot and numerous others.
