The family of Clan Chief Mumxow Ol Sewidi participated in over 50 dances that demonstrated his Clan's origins, history and lineage in the Ceqqa (Cedar Bark Ceremony) and the Dwa'willaka (Peace Dances); with more than 150 family members being given ancestral names.
I am enclosing a partial list of ancestral names which are closely connected with this area.
This data base includes more than 103,000 surnames sent in by 7,200 participants worldwide and provides a way to research ancestral names and to contact the person who submitted them - possibly a living relative.
