The lively Rag-Mazurka and a graceful Andantino turned into a riotous Finale - marred only by youngsters who managed to rattle sweet-wrappings through the entire concert.
Even he seemed relieved when he'd made it through the four movements: "Allegro," the brooding and witchy "Marche funebre: Andantino," the minor-key menace of the "Menuet" (I'd hate to see what beings could dance to it), and the unrelentingly manic "Finale: Presto.
Earlier, Aidan O'Brien's Andantino should make it third time lucky in the opening two-year-old maiden.
