Typical types of anemometers can be divided into vane-type, pitot-tube-type, or hot-wire-type.
Moreover, considering that a surface vehicle travels through the atmospheric boundary layer, it is demonstrated that using track-based anemometers to calibrate a vehicle-mounted anemometer installed at a different height leads to incoherency and can cause substantial errors in the evaluation of free-stream conditions.
All of this is offered across a large range of products from Air-samplers to Anemometers and Vibration meters to Volt Meters.
These newer measuring devices, typically hot wire or hot film anemometers, while much more accurate, convenient, and portable, are highly dependent on measurement location, sensor tip geometry, and temperature sensitivity.
This NEW model can record pulses from devices such as flow meters, anemometers or the opening and closing of switches from a variety of sensors.
Units send readings from Traceable thermometers, hygrometers, barometers, light meters, anemometers, manometers, dissolved oxygen meters, conductivity meters and more directly to any computer.
Anemometers complying with IEC 61400 should be used after they are calibrated by an accrediting body (member of MEASNET); calibration should be done based on ISO-3966 1977 standards.
Anemometers are not only used in weather recording and forecasting, but also in mines, tunnels, and ventilation systems; in aircraft testing and other experimental work; and in aerial navigation.
After your students finish constructing the anemometers, take them to three different locations to measure wind speed.
