This is anthema in a host society in which, as sociologist Hugh Emy observed, we display the characteristics of a "subject-participant" political culture, in which the majority of citizens are still oriented toward the output aspects of the system--that is, towards the results and benefits they expect and demand from government.
Highlights include the evocative Anthema Africana but there's a pinch of Beethoven and Chopin for traditionalists.
The idea is so unbelievably objectionable, such an anthema to Welsh hearts, so absurd, such an insult to their Welshness - how can anybody even contemplate it?
