In this case, the plan may dictate that an APOD will be secure for deliveries within 5 days and an SPOD will receive deliveries within 30 days.
Throughout 2005, however, planners continued to grapple with the term's nondoctrinal status, and for this reason, the ATSP Working Group designed an aerial port of debarkation (APOD) continuum (see figure 2) to represent where an ATSP (as an emerging doctrinal concept) might sit in relation to doctrinally accepted APOD sizes.
This mix of Army and Air Force units was validated during the recent Bright Star exercise, where a JTF-PO unit successfully conducted all reception of personnel and equipment though the primary APOD at Jenicles, Egypt.
