Plural appendixes or appendices (-pn-d-sz)
A tubular projection attached to the cecum of the large intestine and located on the lower right side of the abdomen. Also called vermiform appendix.

Appendix, Appendices something attached as if by being hung on; appendage.
Example: the ark . . . the heavenly fire, and the rest were ceremonial appendices, 1665.

A document appended to an annex of an operation order, operation plan, or other document to clarify or to give further details.
