This quote from the naturalist and film producer David Attenborough, which I spotted on May 24 in a British newspaper, especially resonated with me because I was finishing Kim Stanley Robinson's Fifty Degrees Below. Richard Attenborough directs Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger in a beautiful movie of autumn love shared by Lewis and Joy Gresham. Sir Richard Attenborough has captured this less-known aspect of Mahatma in his well-researched movie 'Gandhi', where Gandhi sternly asks his wife Kasturba to clean the toilets. |
