TOKYO, July 10 Kyodo An AUM Shinrikyo splinter group has agreed to assume liability for paying compensation to survivors and bereaved families of victims of crimes committed by members of the religious cult in the 1980s and 1990s, two support groups for the victims said Friday.
The text contains numerous case studies of man-made accidents, terrorist acts, and natural disasters, as well as some success stories, from the past 25 years including the Bhopal chemical spill; the Chernobyl incident; the Exxon Valdez spill; the Oklahoma City bombing; Tokyo's Aum Shinrikyo subway terrorist attack; the 9/11 World Trade Center attack; the London transit bombings, and Hurricane Katrina.
