It was Australia Day, appropriately enough, complete with the local air force flying overhead.
Queensland Nurses' Union (QNU, ANF Queensland) members Sally Goold and Toni Hoffman have received Australia Day awards for their outstanding contribution to society.
She received a Young Australian of the Year award in 1997 and was appointed as Australia Day Ambassador in 1998.
