Byline: Charles Charalambous TEACHERS' union OELMEK announced yesterday that its members in secondary education will boycott the Modern Greek Pancyprian Exam, due to start in just a few weeks, in protest at the Education Ministry's proposal to allocate three per cent of public university places to pupils holding international qualifications such as GCEs or the Baccalaureat.
In recent years, the education sector has witnessed the growth of International Baccalaureat (IB) schools charging exorbitant fees.
She is currently studying for the baccalaureat, an exam at the end of secondary school.
