Walking in front of patrols through mine-infested battle zones sounds about right.
Last week, India had sent special emissaries to Sri Lanka and urged Colombo to declare a ceasefire in the no battle zone to assure safe passage for the Tamil civilians.
Another 50,000 civilians are believed to still be stuck in the battle zone despite a mass exodus in the past few days estimated at 100,000.
