The pipeline length is approximately 3,300 km leading to Baumgarten in Austria, and the pipeline is expected to reduce EU's natural gas dependence on Russia.
The Nabucco pipeline is a planned natural gas pipeline from Erzurum in Turkey to Baumgarten an der March in Austria diversifying the current natural gas suppliers and delivery routes for Europe.
While the industry was not expecting a bail-out, Baumgarten felt it needed a supportive framework from government to help it weather the current storm.
