Eager to sample the homemade sweets, we ordered sticky toffee pudding, which came with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream, and chocolate tart with a raspberry coulis and lychee bavarois for dessert.
Riki and I chose the same starter: goat's cheese Bavarois, truffle honey, goat's cheese beignet and pear jelly.
Next for me came a luxurious creamy bavarois of goats cheese with a fabulous croquette of - I think - melted goats cheese ever so slightly spiked with truffle.
