Beach·y Head  (bch)
Chalk cliffs, 175.4 m (575 ft) high, on the southeast coast of England. In 1690 Beachy Head was the scene of a French naval victory over Anglo-Dutch forces.

For a sea view of Beachy Head lighthouse, take a boat trip from the pier.
Two weeks ago a massive cliff fall joined nearby Beachy Head lighthouse to the shore.
It first became a home almost a century ago, following completion of the current Beachy Head lighthouse at the foot of the 500ft chalk cliffs, when it was bought by the neurologist and author Sir James Purves-Stewart who entertained King George V and Queen Mary there.
