| Bone marrow aspiration from the sternum showed a hypocellular marrow with complete absence of the erythroid series, a normal myeloid series, and megakaryocytes. Further investigations--including Bence-Jones protein urinalysis, skeletal survey, bone marrow aspiration, and trephine biopsy, as well as spinal MRI--revealed no evidence of myeloma. Bone marrow aspiration and biopsy showed hypercellular marrow, heavily infiltrated by lymphoblasts, which were predominantly precursor B lymphoblasts. |
