Byline: David Whetstone AFORMER North East chippy has been voted one of the best independent book shops in the country - for the second year in succession.
There used to be two independent book shops on this stretch of shops, and very nice they were too.
This is why neighborhood book shops and libraries are getting in bean bags; so that the customer can relax and preview a book before taking the decision of buying or borrowing it.
