An island of eastern Denmark in the Baltic Sea near Sweden. It was held for varying periods by Denmark, Sweden, and Lübeck merchants before becoming part of Denmark in the 1600s.

The ski slope is on the island of Bornholm, in the Baltic Sea, known for its sunny climate and lack of snow.
Their first Servas travel experience was on the Danish island of Bornholm in 1977 where they stayed with an opera singer who also ran a minigolf course while also being a sailor.
Second year students Rosanna Martin and Helen Pickles from the University of Wales, Institute, Cardiff, (Uwic) are set to attend the European Ceramic Context 2006 Festival this week on the Danish island of Bornholm.
