Bra·bant  (br-bnt, -bänt, bräbnt, -bänt)
A region and former duchy of the Netherlands. It became an independent duchy in 1190 and is now divided between the southern Netherlands and north-central Belgium.

Brabant [brəˈbænt]
n
1. (Placename) a former duchy of W Europe: divided when Belgium became independent (1830), the south forming the Belgian provinces of Antwerp and Brabant and the north forming the province of North Brabant in the Netherlands
2. (Placename) a former province of central Belgium; replaced in 1995 by the provinces of Flemish Brabant and Walloon Brabant

In a study led by Dr Richard McNally, of Newcastle University, a British and Dutch team analysed a database of adult brain tumours diagnosed in patients from the North Brabant province of the Netherlands.
The ordered buses will be used in the Brabant province in southern Netherlands.
