The band's battle to survive after the South Yorkshire pit closed was immortalised in 1996 film Brassed Off, with Ewan McGregor and Pete Postlethwaite.
Grimethorpe, the National Champion Band who opened the concert, played the band featured in the famous 1996 British film success, Brassed Off.
