Just days into this year's campaign, Buchanan declared, "[Any] Supreme Court appointments in a Buchanan Administration will be only of pro-life constitutionalists and conservatives.
Still, Buchanan defended Southern traditions at the Citadel in South Carolina by saying that a Buchanan administration would allow the public military college to stay all-male.
Frustrated by this treatment, and responding to a charge that his proposed policies went against what business wanted, Buchanan warned that "American business is not going to run a Buchanan Administration.
