BURBANK - A proposed compromise on construction of a Los Angeles sewer line through Burbank is expected to be rejected by the Burbank City Council tonight because of local residents' concerns about noise, odor and traffic.
The Hilton Burbank Airport & Convention Center has completed a $5 million refurbishment program, according to Joseph Kruvi, general manager of the 486-room hotel.
Burbank transit vans pick up seniors at their front doors and youngsters compete on park water polo and swim teams, thanks to a city budget that, on a per capita basis, nearly doubles that of neighboring Glendale.
