Bur·kitt's lymphoma  (bûrkts)
n.
An undifferentiated malignant lymphoma usually occurring among children in central Africa, characterized by a large osteolytic lesion in the mandible or by a mass in the retroperitoneal area and associated with the Epstein-Barr virus. Also called Burkitt's tumor.

Joshua has Burkitt's lymphoma, of which about 400 cases a year occur in the United States, his father said.
1) Incidente of Burkitt's lymphoma has not decreased (1) and one analysis even demonstrated an increase in incidence after the introduction of HAART, but this increase was not statistically significant.
