Burns' Night [bəːnz-] n → fête écossaise à la mémoire du poète Robert Burns
Burns' NightBurns' Night est une fête qui a lieu le 25 janvier, à la mémoire du poète écossais Robert Burns (1759-1796), à l'occasion de laquelle les Écossais partout dans le monde organisent un souper, en général arrosé de whisky. Le plat principal est toujours le haggis, servi avec de la purée de pommes de terre et de la purée de rutabagas. On apporte le haggis au son des cornemuses et au cours du repas on lit des poèmes de Burns et on chante ses chansons.
