So it seemed a great advancement when the noninvasive coronary angiogram performed with CAT scanning came into use.
It can be difficult to distinguish from bronchitis and even heart failure and it is hoped that CAT scanning the chest will allow researchers a better understanding of its cause and therefore improve our ability to treat it.
Working with colleagues in West Germany and with Yale University's John Ostrom, Wellnhofer has just examined this small specimen though computed axial tomography, better known as CAT scanning.
