| The Encyclopedia Canadiana and the Encyclopedia of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Catholic Encyclopedia, and the Encyclopedia of Saskatchewan were all designed to reinforce their communities. The latest instalment of Palaeontographica Canadiana contains 85 plates, making it the largest in the series since its inception in 1983. CIDL will facilitate the creation of a series of similar meta-search engines that can be built on existing successful national projects such as Our Roots (Our Roots, 2003), Early Canadiana Online (Library and Archives Canada, 2005), and Virtual Museum Canada (Virtual Museum of Canada, 2005). |
