Putting a feline spin on the classic fable The Prince And The Paw-purr, the film finds Garfield's long-suffering owner Jon Arbuckle (Breckin Meyer) intending to propose to girlfriend Liz (Jennifer Love Hewitt) when she suddenly announces she is leaving for London to attend a conference at Carlyle Castle.
Unfortunately for him, the second in line to Carlyle Castle is the evil Dargis (Billy Connolly) who's desperate to dispose of the millionaire moggy and steal the wealth for himself.
