The Cetti's warbler still sings at nearby RSPB Conwy, where the week's early frosts brought numerous thrushes and robins.
UP AND DOWN AMONG bird species which bred in Britain and are increasing against the backdrop of climate change are cirl bunting, Cetti's warbler, golden oriole, goldfinch and collared dove.
In 2002, partly thanks to holding four winning Placepot tickets at Exeter, I won pounds 1,200 and, in 2003, entirely due to having pounds 20 each-way on Cetti's Warbler at 100-1 at Towcester, I ended the week pounds 2,300 up.
