Inferior erosion produces palatal swelling, and superior erosion produces proptosis, chemosis, erythema, and restriction of extraocular movements.
The most commonly presenting clinical symptoms and signs of orbital Echinococcosis are: nonpulsatile, nontender exophthalmos (as in our cases), visual disturbances, papilledema, diplopia, chemosis, eyelid edema, conjunctivitis and hypopyon.
Eyelid edema, conjunctival injection, and chemosis also occurred frequently as well as lagophtalmos (inability to close the eyelids) (see Table 1).
