Arriving in time for the upcoming parliamentary debate on federal child care funding policy, Statistics Canada reports that a growing number of Canadian children aged six months to five years are in some form of non-parental childcare. A coalition comprising the ACTU, the National Association of Community Based Children's Services (NACBCS) and the Taskforce on Care Costs (TOCC*) has called on the federal government to put an 'end to the child care wars'. |
