That's more than $26 million in 2009 dollars, but chump change by current standards.
Chump change compared with a bank bailout, perhaps, but at least it will generate jobs, goose local economies, make much-needed infrastructure improvements and create a need for insurance coverage.
That's not chump change, and especially now, it's a great opportunity for credit unions to gain members and boost the bottom line.
