Labor unrest in the anthracite coal fields of northeastern Pennsylvania was legion and legendary.
In West Virginia, the economic disparity in the typical coal field county, for example, is stark: Upward of two-thirds of the population depend on some form of government assistance while as much as four-fifths of the land is owned by out-of-state or international conglomerates.
In addition the company wishes to announce that it has entered into a formal letter of agreement with Anglo Pacific Group PLC ("Anglo Pacific") of London, England (LSE:APF)(ASX:AGP) for the joint exploration and development of Anglo Pacific's and West Hawk's adjoining Upper and Lower Discovery coal licenses located at the Groundhog coal field in British Columbia, Canada.
