Maingueneau donne un exemple pour illustrer ceci: dans Je suis triste l'embrayeur je refere a un individu ("locuteur-[lambda]") qui se trouve coincider avec le sujet d'enonciation ; mais du point de vue modal, il existe une sorte de rupture entre le sujet d'enonciation comme tel ("locuteur-L") et son enonce puisqu'on refere a je comme on le ferait a une non-personne.
Les procedures a risque, les praticiens non formes et les lois restrictives tendent a coincider avec des taux eleves de morbidite et de moralitedues a l'avortement.
