In a speech that was to have been delivered March 29 before the UN Commission on Human Rights (UNCHR) in Geneva, Bishop Ingham said that religion has been "one of the principle obstacles to homosexual rights throughout the world. Saying he has no regrets about the past ten years, Kempling announced his intention to take his complaint to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights. Adopting resolution 60/251 by a vote of 170 to 4, with 3 abstentions, the Assembly set up the Council to replace the Commission on Human Rights. |
