Ursula Franklin is an experimental physicist, University Professor Emerita at the University of Toronto, the recipient of the Pearson Medal of Peace, and a companion of the Order of Canada.
Lewis is a Companion of the Order of Canada, our country's highest honour for lifetime achievement.
In 1995 she published her memoirs, Saturday's Child: Memoirs of Canada's First Female Cabinet Minister, and that same year was awarded the Companion of the Order of Canada and received the Order of Ontario at Queen's Park on 26 September 1996.
