Older people can develop abnormalities in the heart's conduction system. Patients with organic heart diseases--such as coronary, valvular, or congenital heart diseases--or cardiomyopathy, are easier to diagnose than patients with cardiac conduction system disease (arrhythmia). Each arrhythmia is presented with a color illustration of the electrical conduction system, which shows the responsible defect and which is accompanied by review and practice ECG strips and differential criteria. |
