The Ten Tenors have been together in one form or another since 1995, meeting for the most part at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where Graham was studying saxophone. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Shiffman continued his studies at the Utrecht Conservatorium in the Netherlands, the Ham School of Music at the University of Hartford, The Juilliard School and Yale University. By 1913, it had become redundant, and Seymour Wells, the Government Architect, converted it to the Conservatorium of Music (the Con), his main move being to roof over the inner court and create a concert hail in it, named after Henri Verbrugghen, the first director. |
