In one prolonged and important case before the Court of Session (Scotland's supreme civil court), intriguing issues were aired. The two Anglo-Dutch companies are pursuing enforcement action against Ramco in the Court of Session in Scotland for collection of the sums due under the Texan judgment. The reason for the appeal to the Court of Session was the defender's allegation of 'unchastity' on her part; the argument was over whether he should be allowed to prove this or whether she should first be allowed to prove her marriage, after which he could bring the proof in a divorce action. |
