Any human development will have an impact& An area has been reserved which has a lot of Cormorants, Crab Plovers and Herons on the north side of the Mina Al Arab.
Crab plovers are also plentiful while other migrant waders frequent the more sheltered flats and creeks.
Other birdlife which can be spotted on the island include pintails, shovelers, blackwinged stilts, teals, crab plovers, avocets and grey herons.
