It was decided to adapt the signal processing functions of auto-correlation and cross-correlation for the bullet signature comparisons [13,14].
To evaluate the relationship between El Nino and VL and to quantify the delay of its possible impact, we calculated the cross-correlation function between the annual incidences of VL per 10,000 inhabitants from 1985 to 1999 and the 12-month moving average of the mean monthly Nino-3 index.
These include data mining algorithms to automatically identify causes of difficult classes of yield issues, spatial signature analysis software to detect spatial patterns on wafers and correlate these signatures to the process equipment and operating conditions that may have caused them, and the complete integration and cross-correlation of defect and process data.
