As of May 1, 2009 the European Commission banned products containing the biocide DMF from being placed or made available on the market.
Last year, it was revealed how Brits suffered burns, eye problems and breathing trouble by the sofas, which were packed with toxic fungicide DMF to prevent mould en route from China.
Debra Allen, of Raleys, said: "I want to assure anyone exposed to DMF from furniture they purchased at Land of Leather that no matter what happens to the business their claim for personal injury compensation will proceed as planned.
