A city of central Vietnam on the South China Sea. It was the site of an important U.S. military base during the Vietnam War. Population: 590,000.

China Beach, on Vietnam's central coast near Da Nang, is 30km long and has numerous resorts and restaurants, especially around Bai Non Nuoc.
