Stephen Hutchinson from Durham caught salmon of 24lb, 8lb, 8lb and 14lb on flies and Devon Minnows.
H Jenkins, fishing fly at Merlin Brea, landed the heaviest rainbow of the week at 5lb 2oz while boat angler Donald Gunn, fishing a small green and yellow Devon Minnow caught two 4lb rainbows from under the road bridge at Matthews Linn.
A springer will take a fly if conditions permit, as readily as a Devon minnow, spoon or plug, providing it comes across his nose.
