En los centros de educación secundaria (high schools) y universidades estadounidenses se suele publicar un anuario (yearbook) al final de cada curso académico, en el que se registran muchos aspectos de su vida académica y social. El libro contiene fotografías de cada uno de los alumnos, profesores y demás personal de la administración, además de fotografías de grupos y organizaciones estudiantiles.
