[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] The UHF satcom portion of the integrated communication system, which is used for command and control of the aircraft, consists of a transceiver, a power amplifier and a low-noise amplifier/ diplexer and uses a 'batwing' antenna that is located on top of the engine nacelle.
It can accommodate up to two coax ports and includes build-in CATV diplexers to facilitate CATV services.
Reference design boards use ANADIGICS' integrated tuners such as the AIT1010 and AIT1021, the company's active splitters such as the APS3604, IF filters, and a reverse path diplexer.
