Mr Palchimowic, of Diss, Norfolk, died in hospital three hours after the accident, which happened on the A140 between Long Stratton and Norwich last December.
It was kept in the future Royal's pencil case and she used it as a nine-year-old schoolgirl during lessons at the all-girl Riddlesworth Hall preparatory school in Diss, Norfolk.
The letters, written by George King while he was held captive in Germany during the 1940s, were found in a chest of drawers at a house in Diss, Norfolk, earlier this month.
